Drs. Da’i Bachtiar, S.H.
Independent Commissioner

Indonesian citizen, born in Indramayu, 25 January 1950 and domiciled in Jakarta. Da'i Bachtiar completed his education at the Indonesian National Army Academy (Akabri) in 1972, the Police Science College (PTIK) in 1980, the Staff and Leadership School of the National Police Education and Training Institute (Sespimpol) in 1987 and the Indonesian National Army Staff and Command College (Sesko ABRI) in 1996.

Pursuing a career as Instructor for the Grobogan Police Service, Central Java Regional Police (1973), Pasdep/Instructor of the Police Academy (1983), Head of Klaten Police, Surakarta Regional Police, Central Java Regional Police (1990), Deputy Head of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police (1996), Head of East Java Regional Police (2000), Head of Staff of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia (2001- 2005). He earned his professor title from Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia; Mr. Da’i Bachtiar was honored “Tan Sri” from Malaysia, Australian Order (AO) from Australia and Bintang Mahaputera Adipradana from Indonesian Government. He was the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Malaysia (2008-2011), Chairman of the Presidium of the Indonesian Crime Prevention Institute (LCKI) (2005 – present). Currently Da’i Bachtiar is an Independent Commissioner of Bank Mayapada based on the Deed of GMS No. 216 dated 28 June 2024.
